Engineering Lead Digital & Omnichannel Technology with Clarkson Eyecare, LLC (Ballwin, MO)
Job Duties: Implement, integrate and build scalable web and mobile software applications. Responsible for exceptional delivery and operations of the company's digital applications, including its website, mobile and digital touchpoints. Collaborate with digital experience, IT infrastructure and operations and information security teams to understand business needs and deliver quality software solutions that meet business and enterprise architecture requirements. Lead the Development and Operations Team of the company's digital and omnichannel applications to support SaaS solutions. Understand requirements from the business team and provide technical designs and documentation that align with the overall solution architecture. Support contract staff engaged in the software development lifecycle of the applications. Oversee the effort in defining non-functional requirements and incorporate them to develop reliable, high-performing and scalable applications. Develop microservices application programming interfaces (APIs) on AWS Cloud. Collaborate in an Agile framework with sprints, stories and tickets for engineering and technical issues during post go-live. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide quick resolution and production support after application deployment. Mentor junior software developers. Position is 100% remote and reports to the company headquarters in Ballwin, Missouri.
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Requires 5 years of progressive, post-Bachelor's experience. Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Computer Programming Languages: Java, JavaScript, React, RESTful APIs,Node JS, MongoDB, and Oracle; AWS Cloud systems including AWS Lambda, Amazon CloudFront, Amazon S3, and Amazon CloudWatch; DevOps techniques including Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and Test-driven Development (TDD); Solution Architecture Tools and Microservice Framework: SpringBoot/SpringBatch, AWS Elastic Kubernates Services (EKS), AWS Elastic Containers Services (ECS), Fargate, and AWS Route 53.
