On August 14, 5,000 softball players and fans will converge on our great city to participate in the 2010 NAGAAA Gay Softball World Series. It’s hard to describe the immensity of the event, but we can promise you that it’s going to be huge for the city and guaranteed to be fun for everyone.
But…we can’t pull off this big party without your help! We hope you will join us in showing our visitors from across the US and Canada what Columbus has to offer by Volunteering to help with the overall program.
There are 1,200 3-4 hour shifts that need to be filled throughout the week of the World Series, August 13-21. Shifts are at various times during the days from morning to night and cover a wide range of opportunities. Register on the 2010 GSWS Volunteer website https://2010nagaaagsws.theregistrationsystem.com/en/registration/index/758 and you can see all the shifts that are currently available and there is description of each volunteer opportunity on the front page of the website. While we would love for you to take multiple shifts, covering just one shift will help us tremendously. Contact your friends and schedule to work your shifts together! We really need a lot of help at the softball fields during the day, so think about taking a day of vacation to give back to your community or even a ½ day. Sign-up early to be sure to get the opportunity that you want!! Please send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. On behalf of the Columbus 2010 Board of Directors, I thank you in advance for your consideration!

CLGSA Celebrates 25 Years!
2010 brings an exciting season for the Columbus Lesbian and Gay Softball Association! The league was founded in 1986, which makes 2010 the 25th season! Additionally, CLGSA will host up to 160 teams and 5,000 softball players and fans from across the US and Canada, August 14-21, for the NAGAAA Gay Softball World Series. Please take a moment to read the welcome letter from Chet St. Clair, one of the league's 1986 co-founders.
The CLGSA is an open division softball league open to GLBT players and friends in the Columbus metropolitan area. The organization strengthens our community by providing social connections, camaraderie, and athletic competition for players at all skill levels. The CLGSA is proud to be the largest gay sports organization in Ohio and one of the largest in the country. The success of our league could not be possible without the vision of the league founders, strong sponsorship support from local business, and a spirited and involved GLBT community.
Thanks to our sponsors and players who continue to make our league a success!
